Dear Class of 1972 including Teachers at the Alumni Meeting of 2007,
Sometimes I look on the internet for information of Silver Creek. The
photo of Silver Creek and the area around in the Googles Earth really
showed me that many years passed since 1972. I was one of the foreign
exchange students that year. I hope you remember me, the tall guy from
Sweden. In your well-organized homepage I really enjoyed to see so
many of you at the former alumni-meetings.
There are so many good memories from my year at Silver Creek
1971/1972. When I look at the pictures there are so many different things
that I reminds of, Kathy R in speech-class talking about the importance
of colors. Mr. Allan Taylor showing us one of the first calculators.
Tracy C in civics-class (I was a little fond of her). The trip to Yosemite
and all the meetings in the cross-country team among all things that
happened that year. I have a family of four daughters together with my
wife Eva. The oldest have all moved out. The last one Klara 13y is still
at home. The others are attending schools in Stockholm and Uppsala.
Frida (27) and her boyfriend Linus live in Stockholm with their son Tage.
It is nice to be grandpa. I didn’t recall that a 17 months old child have that
kind of tremendous energy. Karin (24) and Hanna (21) share an
apartment in Uppsala while studying and both enjoy life as students.
We are now living in Norrköping a 2 hours drive from Stockholm. Been
here16 years and like it very well. I work in another city close by
(Linköping). Working at the university hospital as an ENT-doctor. I still
enjoy outdoor activities and go out hunting when I got the time. Eva is
more fond of walking looking for mushrooms in the forest during the
autumn so we try to do that together. Now when the kids are grown up
we even started to play some golf just to do things together. A hard
game! Should have started earlier when the body was more fit for it.
This was just some thoughts I got while writing this letter. You will all be
in my mind during the alumni-meeting Oct 6. For the record I send you
some pictures. Hope you’ll recognize me.
