Tom Lawson During P.E. Coach Green asked me to get the orange cones from Coach Riley or Russell(to long ago to remember) The ladies coach told me they were in the locker room by the office. I walked into the girls locker room afraid some poor girl would be changing or something. Alas the place was empty and I came out with the cones. That was my first and last time in the girls locker room. Side note: Nobody asked or kidded me about gong into the girls locker. What a wonderful, caring man, he truly cared about all of us and I am so glad we dedicated our 72' yearbook to him. It was my honor to know him! Also, Joe Weiss, who could forget him? | Patricia Davis |
| | Don't take life for granted - it's too short | | Priscilla Garcia |
| | That family and friends are what are most important in the end. And it is Not what you have gathered materially, but whose life you have touched and who has touched yours that matters the most. I almost lost my son last summer, after a terrible skateboarding accident. That experience put into perspective who and what was important. My family and I could NOT have gotten through the ordeal without the love, support and prayers from those special friends and loved ones. | | Michael Griffin |
| | If I'd have known I was going to live this long I would have taken better care so as not to have broken so many bones. Surveying in the backcountry out of helicopters in extreme conditions created alot of hazardous duties. My work cronies and I were Xtreme surveyors. Many close calls of one kind or another. You know it is going to be wild ride when it became mandatory that we wear beepers so they might find us in the event of an avalanch burying us. They say I am just too damned awnery to die. Some lines we did we repelled into 400 ft deep canyons. I fell off a 40 ft cliff, I was buried up to my neck in an avalanch, I was struck by lighning not once but twice, I had 100 lbs of dynamite go off accidentally 20 ft away from me, I had a huge rock slide take off and miss me by inches and had encounters with numerous wild animals. My body reminds me of all this daily and then my recreational activities have also taken its tole . | | Margaret Herrera |
| That I really wished I'd study harder and went to college
| | Craig Mathie |
| That the people in our lives- especially our family- matter most. And that learning to prize the diversity we enjoyed at Silver Creek has been a big plus in my education and my career as an educator.
